On our way to the car found the old post office which was relocated after a few years after the bombing.went back to camp chilled out.about 5:30 the campers beside up joined us for happy hour, plenty of fishing story's around.
Thursday 26th
Had a sleep in then Peta and myself went shopping while Warren and Roy rotated the wheels on the car.Back to the caravan park, washing then cleaned the van while we had water and power. About 4:00 headed out to the Mindil Beach sunset markets hoping to get a bargain what a let down the sunset was lovely

Sunday 29th July
Had a lovely sleep in,a cuppa about 6:30 then up by 8:00 as we had a lot of sight seeing. First stop Wangi falls 5k drive then 300m to the waterfall and pools I was going in for a swim then decided everyone was saying it was freezing and I am a chicken. We then did the 1.5k walk I should say a goat track just after starting the walk a wild pig ran across the walking track in front of Warren. Actually Warren saw Three wild Pigs in total on the Walk. Back to the Car then lunch time.
Second stop
The Lost City about 25k from Wangi falls to the lost city and Only accessible By 4wd as about 10k on badly corrugated roads which we
That bad Warren ended up letting air out of the car tyres so as not to shake
Our teeth Out. It was well worth the rough ride as what an amazing place. Especially how the rocks are sitting on top just like a jigsaw puzzle as
You can see by the photo's.
Third stop Tabletop Swamp not much to see other than pig rooting every where. Back to camp as heading away to morrow morning

Mardugal/Malabanjbanjdju Sunday 22nd July

Left Mardugal just after 9:00 went back into Cooinda and filled a 20Lt of water to get us through until Jabiru. On the road again then 28k up the road and 12km inland to Nourlangie. Nourlangir region,Burrunggui (Boor-oon-goy is the Gun-djeihmi name for the upper section of Nourlangie. Anbangbang is the name for the lower section of the rock and surrounding area.Which features a 1.5km circular walk that takes you past an ancient Aboriginal shelter and outstanding rock art sites. At each rock painting there's a poster explaining about the painting. Have taken some lovely photo's of the art painting and surrounding area, breath taking. After leaving there we went looking for another camp site for the night found a great quite spot at Malabanjbanjdju. Peta and I went for a walk found plenty of pig rooting what a mess they leave,Warren headed about 3ks up the other end looking for a good fishing spot and also tracking a wild pig, after about an hours walking he came across a rather large wild boar and as he only had his machete he was unable to get hold of the pig and it ran quickly into the scrub.
Monday 23th July
Left camp site just after 9:15 and drove about 60k to Jabiru
Jabiru is the main town in Kakadu 2 banks,1service station,newsagents/post office, medical centre, chemist, baker and supermarket which were all very expensive. After buying apples and bread, we went and had a look around the Gagudju Crocodile holiday Inn, build in the shape of a crocodile it is a major resort hotel holiday inn. We left Jabiru heading westwards and found a great spot at south Alligator river About 50k west towards Darwin. From the boat ramp you could see the crocodiles floating past down the river. The boat ramp is around 70 ks from the ocean and the tide comes in at walking pace the once it's high tide recedes at the same pace. Warren tried fishing from the boating ramp but he had to keep a close eye on the waters edge As three months ago a lady was taken by a croc at the same boat ramp and her body never found. Warren reckons her saw at least 6 crocs within 30 meters of the boat ramp then decided to put the fishing rod away for the day. We had a good nights sleep and rose early with a brilliant sunrise.
